1.Stand with Richter : Asiesmic aKriti
Ricther makes you remember immediately , an alarm ! Earthquake ! Today the structure has to be earth quake   sustainers ! So build your structures and we are going to check whether your structure sustains.

2.  CONSTRUCT-e-WALL:
 “Brick wall construction….Sounds easy huhh?”No! Stay right there. Only if we don’t give the odd twist and the turn there. Get ready to take up the great XPLOCIV challenge.
3.  Pure it  :  Ph Hygiene
Effluents everywhere !Contamination ! Here is a challenge ,you can just pour or stir, add or filter . Finally make the water clean and clear .

4.Ferro Buoyancy:
Floating structures, there are a lot of concepts involved in the stability of a floating body .Now its time to relate your knowledge to construct a ferro boat and check its floating action.

5. GUESS  3D:
An event will guess the ones degree of imagination and creativity to evolve a structures with the Jigsaw pieces. Participants will be given a blue print and to imagine the 3D projections of the plan and construct the structure.

6.Excogitation-Model Making:
A platform where one gets an opportunity to test and try their engineering skills at solving real life challenges. We here’s something to quench ones thirst. We bring forward “EXCOGITATION” the model presentation contest where one can come up with novel ideas using complexities of modern civil engineering and implement them with their own innovative expertise. So its need to have that dormant technocrat and incarnated imagination.

7. Paper Presentation-PAPEROZZA:
Research serves to make building stones out of stumbling blocks with this view in mind, the event aims at serving as a platform for all those who wish to contribute in the development of technological research. This competition is aimed at bringing out innovative ideas from young and ignited minds

8. INNOVATION IN RENOVATION:
An event which will test ones ability to create & think beyond imagination. A plan  will be given which has to be innovated  according to the requirements given in the problem.

9. Cadd-Zapp:
Engineering design is a creative activity, where the creative skills of the designer are used with the help of the engineering knowledge one has to acquire to produce the design of an engineering system. This is the test of ones computer skills and  basic design knowledge.

10. ILLUSION-Poster Making:
In our constant endeavour to showcase the breakthroughs in science and technology, we invite contestants to make posters that explore the unknown areas of Civil Engineering. This competition is aimed at bringing down innovative ideas from the minds of budding engineers.

11.Nutt Krackerz :
We invite all the gladiators with an itch to engineering and some time to spare to prove themselves in the best civil engineering “NUTT Krackerz”.

12.  Case Study-Enigma:
Here one can test their farsightedness, innovation and problem solving skills. One gets to solve a real time problems faced by the society and industry. The participants have to come up with a solution to the cases given by the experts from the various industries in the allotted time.

13.   Quiz the Lingua Franca:
     Think one knows everything under the sun? Time to think again. It’s a battle among the warriors there will be only one surviva. It will test if one is polymath.
Having excruciating five rounds for testing the knowledge in civil engineering and general knowledge.

14. GUEST LECTURES:-
Time to collect few valuable pearls from our esteemed and learned guests. Wisdom and knowledge speaks by itself and it not be spoken voluntarily …………. Discover yourself

15. Treasure hunt:
       Books , assignments, exams ,records…!!! Bored of all this???  Here is the feet freezing event loaded     with thrill, adventure & excitement.

16. Gaming Ghosts :-
Gaming passion never ends and what not ?, its an arena to unleash your gaming talents .Extend your territory of gaming adventure with the most appropriate opponents .

RESPONSIBLITIES :


The event management committee sorts the best events and processes still it is successfully completed .

The EMC coordinators guides the respective EVENT CO-ORDINATORS for their
  1. Event sponsorship
  2. Event publicity
  3. Event conduction
  4. Event conduction arena or place allocation

EMC are in co-ordination with Operations Committee makes way for the allocation of place for the event,

EMC also looks into the sufficient time and resources to be provided for the events.

EMC plans the time slot allocation for the events and the time of conduction.

Modifications can be suggested by EMC incase of any unexpected situations such as resources shortage or deficit time duration. A suitable solutions shall be made for the hurdles of the event conduction.

FINANCE :
Finance, accounting, overall funds for each and everything shall be monitored.

Material purchasing, need for the material, economic finance shall be provided by the committee.

Bills and correspondence for material purchase to be accounted to the finance department.
Workshops and guest lectures conduction is also responsibility of the committee.    

HR :
        Nothing processes without any supervision, Human resources looks after the overall functioning of other committees . It rectifies if there is any hurdles for the committee members. It suggests better strategies for making the work process easier.

Registration:

Online : The online registration in accordance with E-advertising accounts the registrations from day to day.

Spot : Spot registration also to be taken care of on day of event.
          
Certificates:
 
Volunteers, winners, participation, appreciation certificates are issued on discretion of F& HR committee.

TRANSPORTATION:

Transportation of materials and resources to be taken care of the committee members .
  Arrangement of cabs for the guests are also arranged.

ACCOMMODATION:

The list of participants who have asked for accommodation are intimated to the committee by the registration committee and arrangements are made in the hostel premises with the prior allocation of rooms from the hostel office.

The guidance for the participants in the place of stay such as for food, shall be completely taken care of the accommodation committee. 

HELP DESK :

The guidelines about the events i.e. venue of the event , event coordinators, guidance through the campus , each and everything whom to approach for what ?

The announcements are also made from the committee from time to time.

GUEST HANDLING :
 
The chief guests and other dignitaries are welcomed by the committee and are treated with utmost hospitality.

All the services such as providing snack, water bottles, etc. The momento distribution on everything has to be taken care of.

Momentos:

the momentos purchasing, labeling,  accounting before and after distribution shall be taken care off.

operations and resources management:

The allocation, arrangement, assembling the resources such as shamiyana, arena construction, lab arrangements, chairs, tables, power supply, etc for overall conduction of the events.

Materials purchasing for events, availing resources from the management authority such as chairs, tables, arrangement of stalls.

 Managing , T-Shirts and kits accounting and transportation.

 Permissions from authorities for the stalls, for availing resources ,for overall conduction of events will be acquired by the Operation committee.

Basic amenities for the volunteers and participants shall be availed by the committee.

Decorations will also be looked upon by the committee in accordance with the insight of publicity.

Discipline committee is a part of which helps in crowd control and smooth conduction of the program.

The overall operations on the day will be taken care of operations.

Main colleges in Chennai will be listed and visited in person by the committee members for publicizing about the symposium with posters and elaborating the its importance.  

Northern :

Northern states are covered by the committee by the people of the respective states.

southern :

 The southern states and district main colleges are publicized by the respective members from the respective places .

Overall colleges are covered by sending correspondence through posts in accordance with the P.R.O.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Sponsorship committee approaches companies for availing sponsors.

Sponsorship committee members are sent to concerns through contacts and they are trained to indicate the advantages for the concerns giving sponsorship for.

A brochure is carried by the committee members for approaching for sponsors.
Main sponsor, Co-sponsor, Event sponsor, Banner sponsor, etc will be the categories of sponsors based on the amount they avail.

Sponsorship has to convince the concerns by indicating the importance to the students for the symposium.

Media sponsors , Radio partners should also be approached by the sponsorship committee.

Stalls sponsors which are educational stalls and food stalls also should be brought as sponsors by the committee.
